Geospatial Artificial Intelligence International Hackathon

Geospatial Artificial Intelligence International Hackathon is the last event of the GeoAI event series conducted by GeoAI Lab Research and Innovation Lab Binus University. This event held from 2nd – 11th December 2021. A team consisting of 2-4 members selects any geospatial-related topic. The group registered in this GeoAI International Hackathon is 47 teams from Binus University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). While the judges from BINUS University, Brawijaya University, UiTM, Karlsruhe University, and ESRI Indonesia.

The judges choose the teams to enter the Qualifying Round with a few Criteria:

  1. Novelty of idea
  2. Creativity and Design of your ESRI Story Maps
  3. Real-world Relevancy of your Idea
  4. Technical Accuracy of your data and methodology
  5. Application of ESRI Technology for visualization, analysis, or decision making

After being judged by judges, 10 Best teams were chosen. These 10 teams were chosen based on the criteria of the qualifying round. After that, these 10 teams will present their StoryMaps in front of 5 judges from different institutions and universities to maintain fairness in judging. As for the Judges, there are Mr. Edy Irwansyah from BINUS University, Mr. Adipandang Yudono from Brawijaya University, Mr. Yohanes Budi Sulistioadi from Universitas Mulawarman, Mrs. Citra from ESRI, and Mrs. Haslina Hashim from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

From the 10 teams which presented their StoryMaps, 3 winners are selected by the judges. The first winner is VaccineGo from Binus University. The second winner is Jakarta COVID-19 Projection using CHIME Model form Binus University. The Third winner is NovaLance from UiTM.
