Where Development Meets Security

Modern applications are built and deployed at a speed unimaginable a decade ago. But speed without security is a liability. Server and Network Administration teaches students how to build, deploy, and maintain systems where security is not an afterthought, but part of the pipeline from the very first commit.

The course opens with the DevOps pipeline and version control fundamentals, then moves into the technologies that power modern deployment such as Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins. Once students understand how software reaches production, the focus shifts to securing that journey. Through the DevSecOps pipeline, students learn how to protect applications by embedding security checks directly into Jenkins, managing deployment permissions, and applying the right approaches to keep applications safe at every stage.

The final part of the course turns to visibility. Students learn how to collect, store, and analyze logs, then use them to detect intrusions before they escalate into breaches. Wrapped up with a real case study, the course gives students the practical judgment to read what a system is telling them and respond accordingly.
