Through the Enrichment Program and a rigorous capstone Thesis, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned to challenges that matter.

Enrichment Program (Semesters 6 & 7)

Over two semesters, you’ll immerse yourself in one of seven enrichment tracks — each offering a distinct path to put your skills into practice beyond the classroom. You choose one track per semester, and each experience is designed to be transformative: building your network, your portfolio, and your confidence as a professional.

Company Internship Embed yourself in an industry partner — a tech company, consulting firm, bank, startup, or enterprise — and work on live data science projects with real business stakes. Build your professional network and your resume simultaneously.
Research Fellowship Join a research lab or academic team and contribute to active data science research. Ideal for students considering graduate school or a career in research-driven organizations.
Entrepreneurship Turn an idea into a product. Under expert mentorship, build a data-driven startup or venture — from ideation and validation to building an MVP and pitching to stakeholders.
Community Impact Internship Apply your data science skills to social challenges — working with NGOs, local governments, or civic organizations on projects that create measurable impact for communities.

Each student takes one track per enrichment semester. The enrichment program is a defining experience — many students credit it as the moment their career truly began.

Thesis (Semester 8)

Your final semester culminates in a Thesis: an independent, original data science project that demonstrates the full depth of your capability. This isn’t a coursework exercise — it’s your contribution to the field.

Stage What You’ll Do
Pre-Thesis Define your research question or applied problem, conduct a literature review, and design your methodology. This is where you build the intellectual scaffolding for everything that follows.
Thesis Execute your research or applied project end-to-end — collecting and processing data, building and evaluating solutions, interpreting results, and presenting your findings to a panel of faculty and industry experts.

Past thesis projects have spanned predictive healthcare analytics, NLP systems for local languages, supply chain optimization, fraud detection, and more. Your thesis is your signature work — the project you’ll talk about in interviews, reference in publications, and be proud of for years to come.
