  • Prof. Derwin Suhartono serves as a Professor and the Dean of the School of Computer Science at Bina Nusantara (BINUS) University. With over 15 years of experience in academia, he has established himself as a specialist in Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Personality Computation. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to bridging the gap between computational advancements and real-world human applications, creating solutions that address complex challenges in understanding human behavior.

  • Prof. Derwin holds a Doctor of Computer Science degree from Universitas Indonesia, as well as both a Master of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Computer Science from Bina Nusantara University. To maintain a strong connection with the global engineering community, he holds professional memberships in several prestigious organizations, including IEEE, APTIKOM, INACL, IndoCEISS, and the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII).

  • As an expert in the integration of AI and psychology, Prof. Derwin’s research focuses heavily on leveraging NLP for personality analysis and psychoinformatics. Natural Language Processing

Professor Derwin Suhartono’s research sits at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and human behavioral analysis, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP). He experted Personality Computing, also known as Psychoinformatics, where he applies computational methods to psychology. Using machine learning algorithms to analyze digital footprints like social media text patterns, he develops models that automatically predict human personality traits. This work reveals how language usage reflects individual behavioral characteristics and enables personalized digital interactions.

Personality Recognition

As an educator, Professor Derwin Suhartono channels this expertise into a curriculum that prepares the next generation of AI specialists.
