DESIGN SIMULATION GAME DREAM LIFE FOR ANDROID PLATFORM WITH APPLICATION OF GAMIFICATION CONCEPT

Children usually have a good idea about what they become in the future but they didn’t know about the salary from that profession, that because of children purity and their fantastic imagination, but most of them will feel disappointed when they grow up, for example when they realize how hard to be a ballerina and the salary that will they get if they become ballerina. The main objective of this research is developing a 3D simulation game genre to help children to know better about the profession world. Aside from that, this game also contain psychology test that help children to know what they interest in. This game is supported by 3D animation, characters, environment, 2D sprites for the mini game, with side-scrolling camera for the controller. In this research, writer uses literature study, similar application analysis, and questionnaire as data collection method. The development methodology of the application used for this research is prototyping. This method consists of communication, quick plan and modeling quick design, construction of prototype, and deployment delivery and feedback. The core features of application developed first and then the other features are developed as the team communicate in what user need in this application aside from questionnaire. This game consist 3D for the simulation game and 2D for the mini game. In conclusion, Dream Life is a simulation game application that consist psychology test to help children know what they interest in and know better about profession world.
