The Global Learning System (GLS) is one of BINUS’ innovations to bridge the gap between industry and education. In this GLS program, BINUS invites industry and universities (both domestic and abroad) into the learning process of certain courses at BINUS. With this GLS program, students are expected to be able to enrich the knowledge and experience provided by industry and universities. In this year’s academic, SoCS invited 34 participants from industry and overseas campuses to teach several topics to support students’ courses and share experiences of what they are doing or researching.

In odd semester, we collaborated with lecturers from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia to be able to teach 4 courses for math and statistics students and from Beijing Normal University to teach 1 course of  Algorithm & Programming.

Furthermore, several companies are involved in this activity to teach and share, including Dana Indonesia, Huawei Indonesia, Shinta VR , and  Vintage Point Security. They are involved for each 3 courses. While Dewaweb , GDP Labs, Ice House, PT. Arutala Digital Inovasi, Pupuk Kaltim Bontang, and  Traveloka. They each taught 1 course.

In even semester, we collaborated again with lecturers from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia to be able to teach 7 courses and from Universiti Malaysia Pahang for 3 courses. Furthermore, several companies are involved again in this semester to teach and share, including Blibli, Dicoding, GameChanger Studio, PT Astra International, Huawei Indonesia. They are involved   for each 2 courses. While Shinta VR ,  DANA , Arsanesia, Nodeflux.Esri Indonesia, Sky Drake Indonesia, Traveloka, PT Barito Integra Teknologi, PT Chroma International, PT Inovasi Informatika Indonesia ,PT Kalbe Farma, PT SAS Institute, they are involved for each 1 course.

The topics presented allowed students to expand their knowledge based on the courses they took. It is hoped that in the future, students will be encouraged to conduct research on the subjects they study.

With this program, students are expected to be able to gain knowledge and the latest developments from the subjects studied, and be able to be active in improving their quality so that they can be absorbed by the global community.
