Visit to BINUS from Math Department of UNISBA
On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the School of Computer Science, especially the Mathematics & Statistics Department, received a visit from the Mathematics Study Program, Bandung Islamic University (UNISBA). This activity is carried out onsite at the BINUS ANGGREK campus by implementing health protocols. UNISBA delegation was led by Dr. Didi Suhaedi, M.Kom as Head of Mathematics Study Program and the team, they are Ms. Onoy Rohaeni, M.Sc as Secretary of Mathematics Study Program, Mr. Erwin H Harahap, M.Sc as Head of the Mathematical Computing Laboratory, Mr. Gani Gunawan, M.Sc as KBK Algebra and Analysis, Ms. Icih Sukarsih, M.Sc as KBK Industrial Mathematics and Finance, and Ms. Yurika Permanasari, M. Kom as KBK Data Science.
The visit of the UNISBA team was warmly welcomed by the BINUS SoCS team. Meanwhile, BINUS was represented by Mr. Fredy Purnomo as Dean of SoCS, Mr. Alexander as Head of Mathematics & Statistics Department , Ms. Syarifah Diana as Deputy Head of Mathematics & Statistics, Ms. Santy as Head of Internationalization Partnership Program, and other members of the SoCS department.
Ms. Santy opened the event as the MC, and the event was continued by a speech by Mr. Fredy and then continued by Mr. Dedi as a UNISBA representative to give a speech and explain their reasons for this visit study. Mr. Alex also explained how the program of Math and Statistics works and shared strategies to develop it. The discussion went smoothly, Mr. Alex and the team finally answered many questions from the UNISBA team. We hope that every answer can help to develop the study program of Math at UNISBA well.
The purpose of this activity is to discuss how to develop the SN DIKTI and KKNI curriculum with an Outcome Based Education approach. In addition, UNISBA had the opportunity to tour several centers in BINUS such as the Student Service Center, Lecturer Service Center, Software Laboratory Center, etc. along with the School of Computer Science department room.
It is hoped that from the results of this visit, both parties can further improve the quality and educational facilities for students.
