During  Prof. Bart visit to SoCS BINUS, Prof. Bart also share his research experience to SoCS lecturers on July 22nd, 2022. This activity took place through hybrid mode. About 55 participants were attending online, and about 15 participants were attending offline in room 308, Anggrek Campus (following the health protocols).

Not only as a full professor, Prof. Bart Lamiroy also as a researcher at the CReSTIC laboratory in Reims. He has been working on graphical document analysis, and more particularly in graphical information retrieval, text-graphics data mining and indexing, and more recently on generic topics related to Machine Learning and Classifier performance analysis. Prof. Bart had opportunity to share topic about Performance Evaluation with Annotation Noise.

Many participants motivated to ask questions since the topics were so inspiring.  It is expected that through knowledge sharing event, the lecturers can find inspiration for their own research, particularly in the areas of image and video processing, computer vision, and machine learning, and also allows open the possibility of future research collaboration with Professor Bart and his respective institution.

This activity also marks the end of Prof Bart’s visit at BINUS. As the Dean and the SoCS representative, Fredy Purnomo, S.Kom., M.Kom., give a token of appreciation to Prof. Bart for sharing his experiences and discussing his current research. He hoped that this partnership would continue and be beneficial to both parties, especially to encourage SoCS lecturers in carrying out high level impact research. The event is ended with a group photo both online and onsite.
