The Enrichment Program is a flagship initiative at BINUS University that provides students with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience beyond the classroom, directly engaging with industry professionals and communities.

Launched in 2014, the Enrichment Program aims to offer students additional value and a competitive edge. It spans two semesters, with each semester carrying a load of 20 credits. The program is available to all majors at BINUS University, typically during the 6th and 7th semesters. During this period, students are encouraged to focus on a specific field by choosing from one of the seven available tracks: Internship, Entrepreneurship, Community Development, Research, Study Abroad, Specific Independent Study, and Further Study.

Internship Program Overview

The Internship Program, a key component of the Enrichment Program, is designed to provide students with hands-on, real-world work experience. It allows students to gain practical knowledge in their chosen field, enhancing their job-related skills and making them more competitive in the job market.

The Internship track is the most popular choice, with approximately 75-80% of students opting for it. This translates to around 6,000 students per semester participating in internships.

To support these placements, BINUS University collaborates with around 1,500 companies each semester. Through this collaboration, companies benefit from fresh perspectives, increased productivity, enhanced innovation, and access to high-quality talent for their workforce.

Internship Structure

Students participating in the Internship Program are assigned roles related to their field of study. The internship lasts between 4 to 12 months, during which students engage in full-time work (40 hours per week) and adhere to the company’s working hours and policies. Throughout the internship, students receive supervision from both a Site Supervisor (from the company) and a Faculty Supervisor (from the university).

BINUS University also utilizes a web-based platform to manage the entire internship process, from student recruitment to program completion, ensuring smooth coordination between the university, students, and industry partners.
